Both robots excel at cleaning up surface debris from hard floors and carpets, and they're very adept at moving around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ isn't able to have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we tested. It may get stuck on power cords or socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces, like hardwood and rug.

iRobot suggests that you clean the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or other clutter it may encounter. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is low, it returns to its docking station, automatically empties its trash into the station's external dustbin and then resumes cleaning the area where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and it takes about three hours to fully recharge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line and comes with the latest features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most important feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor vacuum robot plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your robot via the app or by voice.

In our testing the i7+ performed quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface kinds, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin which eliminates major sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines, move itself around the room and vacuum an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to voice commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating the performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with vacuums with cords that look like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model is an old-fashioned sports car. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum for most households and can fit perfectly next to the table for a coffee or a bookshelf that you can spin around like an enchanted device.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces continuous, non-fading power for 60 minutes. It also feels better-built and has a more powerful motor, and is able to perform better on bare floors and carpets with low pile, while offering a wider range of features for automation.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
